While Samsung is never one to shy away from adopting new designs even starting a trend that later becomes the industry-standard, there are still a few ones it has skipped. One example that gets to mind is the pop up selfie camera design. perhaps, that should change soon as a leak has disclosed Samsung is working on its very first phone with a pop up selfie- camera.
The source of the leak is serial -leaker @OnLeaks and he however has partnered with Pigtou for this particular one.
The upcoming Samsung phone whose name is yet known will likely be an affordable mid-range device based on its designs.
It has a flat -display and the screen is however said to be about 6.5 inches in size with a moderately sized lower -bezel. The back is curved-and is home to 3 cameras housed together with the LED flash and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of the devices are 183.5 x 77 x 9.2 (9.7 with the camera- module) millimeters.
The base of the phone is home to USB Type-C port flanked on the one side by the speaker griller and on the other by a microphone. Surprisingly, Samsung did not put an audio jack on the device but there seems to be an IR blaster at the top of the phone-.
The pop-up camera does not have any fancy additions or even an LED flash as we have already seen from some other manufacturers-.
It is unknown if the phone i’ll be a 5G -device or will be a 4G phone. Nevertheless, there is nothing stopping Samsung from launching both a 4G and a 5G version of the phone.
What do you think about the Samsung’s first phone with a pop up selfie camera? Let us know in the comment box.
Speaking of the display, it is expected we will get three S11 models, with absolutely enormous screens. Firstly, there is the Galaxy S11e, with a 6.3 inch or 6.4-inch display. Secondly, the standard -Galaxy S11 with a 6.7 inch display. Finally, Samsung may as well do an Apple and also add a Pro to its range with the- S11 Pro, which will also have a massive 6.9-inch display. The Pro is however expected to replace the usual Plus model-. Expect each of the display to be one of the Samsung’s Dynamic-AMOLED panels.
There is not much else around the front, so we will move to the back. It is here you will see the lion’s share of changes. Whatever symmetry the centered selfie-camera added has been removed with the addition of a new camera module that hugs the left edge. But it is a chunky beast, with what looks like five lenses separated into two lines. These includes the rumored 108-megapixel main lens, a 5x telephoto -lens, and another unknown camera lens. Also supposedly in attendance is a Time of Flight sensor for more accurate depth data, and a fifth, completely an unknown lens. An LED flash is as well visible, along with what looks like a laser autofocus module-.
Being renders, there is not much to say about the internal specifications. However, it’s safe to bet we will see the next generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon processor the Snapdragon 865. expect specifications that at least match and probably exceed the Galaxy -S10 range and you’re unlikely to go far wrong. Interestingly, all 3 models are expected to have 5G variants which will be separate from the 4G LTE models.
